About Us
MiLaJa Records have quickly earned a solid reputation as a
leading outlet for revolutionizing
the music scene.
The MiLaJa Records label was launched in June 2007
with a classic Southern Soul extended play album by “Miz B”.
July saw the release of R&B/Soul Blues Artist “Mr.
Sam” which features 10 tracks from various renowned producers such as: Archie
Love (JEA), EZ Rock (Bar-Kays), Morris J. Williams (Ekco Records), Tahl Cole and
Elvis Williams who also has produced hits for the infamous Bar-Kays and J.
Blackfoot.
The label’s second released topped the Blues Critics Charts
for eight (8) straight week with “Mr. Sam” (12 Steps 4 Cheaters) and staking
claims on the National Charts also with 12 Steps 4 Cheaters.
The label’s newly rising star artist Mr. Sam
received nominations in four (4) categories for the 2007 Blues Critic Award
(Best New Artist, Song of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Slow Song of the
Year).
The artist also made the top 10 songs of the year in the UK
for his single “I’m Comin’ Home”.
NEW for spring 2008 is “Pengea” featuring a track that was
co-produced by Rick Vito (Fleetwood Mac) “Part of Me”.
The group is an Alternative Rock Band with a 25 year
old power house as the lead singer, with a voice that’s everything you would
want from Stevie Nix-Joan Jet-Sarah McLachlan-Annie Lennox-Amy Lee (Evanescence)
to Gwen Stefani (No Doubt).
The group has been described as a more aggressive
Evanescence with a broader and more tasteful influence.
